For Fabulous Feline Eyes, There's the New Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Ragdoll, Siamese, American shorthair, tortie — whether y'all're a sassy alley true cat or a purebred princess, there's something in Too Faced's new Cat Eyes Palette for you.
Upon this new fall palette, Too Faced bestowed 9 new shades, each with a kitty-themed name (aww!). Inside the leopard-impress packaging hibernate half-dozen powder eyeshadows and iii powder eyeliners, which you can use moisture or dry out (you lot tin can also utilise the eyeliners as eyeshadows), to create a variety of true cat eye looks.
In that location's more than enough here to take you from pampered firm kitty to prowling jungle cat — phht! phht! — in a few swipes of your paw.
The palette contains some warm and cool shades, with a mix of neutrals (beige, bronze, dark-brown and black), and a catnip sprinkling of purple, pinkish and metal blue gray.
Your cat nephew Tabs, too known as my boss, insisted that I wear the palette for a couple days before divulging my thoughts. I asked him this morning what he thought of the wearable daytime cat eye I did with the chocolate-brown, bronze and blackness shades (Leopard, Tiger'due south Eye and Panther), and he replied, "Mrrow. Meeee-ooow!"
Sadly, I am not fluent in cat, only I ran the phrase through Google Translate and got: "You lot look less to'-up than usual. I corroborate." 🙂
I like the variety colors in this palette, and in my eyeshadow experiments with information technology I've found that it really lights up my lids. Most of the shades have a metallic, frost or glitter finish, which makes for beautifully glowing eyes.
The shimmer can starting time to wait a little heavy, though, and call out my fine lines, peculiarly when I do a lot of layering with these products.
Using foam shadow bases similar the MAC Pigment Pots with them also makes the shadows seem like they're sitting on elevation of the skin. I remember a really basic primer, 1 that isn't likewise thick (my favorite is NARS Smudge-Proof Eyeshadow Base), works best.
Too, for me, I tend to get the best results when I swirl a castor loaded with shadow on the back of my hand (information technology removes excess product and actually works the grains into the fibers of the brush for an even application on the peel), then buff the castor head on my lids. When I do this, the shadow appear to merge with my skin, equally opposed to just sitting on height of it.
As for the powder eyeliners, they piece of work fine moisture or dry, only I prefer to utilize them dry for really lovely diffused edges.
I like the whole concept of this palette (hello, cat lady who loves wearing cat eyes?) and remember it's a lot of fun.
If y'all're thinking about Cat Eyes for yourself, and if you too happen to be around my age or older, be sure to buff those shadows on your lids, and/or consider working in some matte crease colors. It'll make the shiny finishes easier to pull off.
Your friendly neighborhood dazzler addict,
Karen
