Grades 6-8: Support Mental Wellness Awareness Month and Article of clothing Greenish on May 6


Grades 6-viii:  Manner to be Positive Wednesdays at SA
-students are invited and encouraged to wear shirts or sweatshirts that take a positive saying or kind thought (ie. Be Kind, Life is Good, etc.).  Uniform bottoms are to exist worn and outwear policies will still be in place.

Grades 6-8: Dress Down Days. Students pay $2 to homeroom teacher to dress downwardly on scheduled dates.  The funds raised do good SA classes, organizations and special projects.

Dress Downwards Rules must be followed:

Students will be allowed to wear their 'casual street apparel' only must bide by all schoolhouse set standards for this day.  No open up toed shoes, tank tops, spaghetti straps, shortie shorts, cutoffs, holes in jeans, and inappropriate logos.  Yoga pants tin be worn but pupil must clothing a long shirt/tunic. Appropriate, tasteful dress and advent must apply.

Grade xi: Senior Class Trip-

Please come across the PowerPoint for information on the senior trip for the grade of 2023.A $100 deposit is due to Mrs. Moore past Thursday, April fourteen. Come across payment options in the PowerPoint. Total amount- remaining $1400 will be due on June 2. Payments- Four $350 payments due May ii, June 1, September half dozen, and October. 3. *If your family unit qualifies for free/reduced lunch benefits, you may also qualify for financial assistance for the trip. Please see Mrs. Allen in the middle schoolhouse office for more information on the free/reduced dejeuner benefits and message Mrs. Messina. Practice not allow money be the reason for non attending!
Sr Trip Info

Grade 12:Start is scheduled in the Sussex Academy Stadium at 6pm on Fri, June 3, 2022.  Each senior volition receive eight tickets for guests.  Tickets will be required for admission.  Important:  Should the event need to exist moved into the cafetorium due to atmospheric condition, ONLY four guests per student will be admitted.

Happy Mother's Day

Women's Lax- The women's varsity lacrosse squadcrushed Dover 19-8 on goals by Macy Steinwedel 5, Madison Leeper 3, Sanne Elling 3, Lily Manlove three, Addy Basile  ii, Bella Guckes 2, Shelby Manlove.

Men's Lax- The high school men's lacrosse team  fought from behind to defeat Gunston. Ryan Morgan scored in the last few minutes to give the Seahawks the atomic number 82 and the defense completed the task. Mason Trench turned abroad 2 shots in those closing minutes.

Softball- The high school softball team lost games to Cape and Laurel.  No results were listed for their game at Delcastle.

Baseball- The Seahawks jumped out to an early pb and never looked back in an 18-2 win over Odyssey Charter.  Theodore Layton, Wyatt Skinner, Wesley McLaughlin, Douglas Horton, Hunter Bluto and Whitman Stout all had 2 hits for Sussex Academy. Skinner led Sussex University with three RBI'southward.

Afterwards a tough loss to Smyrna the team blanked Tatnall 8-0. Wyatt Skinner pitched a 4 hitting shutout for the Seahawks while Jack Donahue (4 hits) and Emerson Layton (3 hits) led the offense.

Golf- The golf squad moved to 9-0 with wins over Delmar, Lake Forest, and Laurel. At Delmar Sarah Lydic was the medalist shooting a 34. Hannah Lydic shot a 36 followed past Sawyer Brockstedt and Tyler Healy.  Against Laurel Sarah and Sawyer tied for medalist shooting 35.  Hannah scored 37 and Dominick Piperno 45 to complete our scoring.

Soccer- The team lost to CR 2-ane and to IR 2-1 in overtime.  Merrill Smith and Zoe Probert contributed the goals.

Women's Tennis- The women's squad lost to Worcester Prep, defeated Seaford, and had no results posted for the Smyrna match.

Men'south Tennis- The men'southward team also lost to Worcester Prep, defeated Seaford, and had no results posted for the Smyrna match..

Women's Rail- The women's track teamresults were not posted for the meet with Laurel.  The team placed 3rd at the Delmarva Relays.  They were led past winning 3 relays.  Peyton Stanislav, Kasi Showers, Sadie Tunnell, Lily Bowe, Alyssa Oscar made up the 3 winning teams.

Men's Track - The men's teamdefeated Laurel led by Brett Parker winning both distance races.  Carly Merise, William Ducote, and Harrison Dabbs won the 200, 400, and 800 respectively.  Ethan Bolados won the long leap.

The team had a good showing at the Delmarva Relays earning argent medals in 2 relays.  Stanley Louius, Josh Welch, William Ducote, and Brett Parker provided strong performances.

Men's Volleyball- The men'due south volleyball squad defeated Aspira three-1. Sunny Sunnergren led the team with six kills and eight aces while Zach Yenovkian contributed 15 assists.  MOT had to cancel our Friday game due to covid.

MS Daughter'south Lax - The middle school girls lacrosse won a thriller confronting Smyrna 9-viii in over time! Seahawks were led by Liz Layton with 5 goals including the game tying goal with seconds left in regulation and and then the game winner in overtime! June Hale had 3 goals and Savannah Couch had the goal of the year so far with the low angle, bar down, snipe to get the girls within one goal with the clock winding downward!

The squad lost to Beacon despite the girls giving 100% effort the unabridged game. Liz Layton had 2 goals and Dylan Peck made 6 saves in the game.

MS Boy's Lax- The middle school boys lax squad lost a shut game with Beacon.

MS Softball-  The squad lost a heartbreaker in extra innings to Selbyville. Makenna Blades pitched all 8 innings allowing simply two earned runs. The criminal offence was led by hits past Lauren Myers Makenna Blades, Grayce Glover, Gabby Silva and Caroline White.

The middle school softball team's crime came upwardly large win a xvi-6 win over Delmar. Gabby Silva led the team with iv hits and 6 RBI'southward. Makenna Blades contributed 3 hits with 5 runs scored. Lauren Myers, Aubrey Schirmer and Caroline White also had multiple hits.

MS Baseball- The middle school baseball team lost to Selbyville and Delmar.

MS Girl'south Soccer- The Seahawks played a tough match versus Selbyville Middle.  They held the score to 0-0 in the showtime half earlier eventually catastrophe the game 0-5 Selbyville. The MVP of the A game was goalkeeper, Maya Hastings, who had 26 saves throughout the game. She carried her team throughout the game.

The B team won their match 1-0 against Selbyville. Gretchen Maughan had a beautiful break abroad goal to carry the Seahawks to victory.
